Ingredients
  

For the Roast:

  • 3 pounds beef arm roast trimmed
  • ½ tsp cooking oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Braising Liquid:

  • 2 cups beef broth
  • ½ tsp dried thyme
  • ½ tsp dried rosemary
  • 2 whole dried bay leaves

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Meat: Season the beef arm roast generously with salt and pepper. In a hot pan, sear each side in cooking oil until browned.
  • Braise the Roast: Place the roast in a baking dish, surrounded by your choice of vegetables. Pour in the beef broth mixed with thyme, rosemary, and bay leaves. Cover and place in a preheated oven at 325°F for about 4 hours.
